HALO® laser resurfacing
When uneven texture bothers you as much as uneven color, resurfacing may be a better fit than light therapy alone. HALO combines two fractional laser wavelengths in one treatment, addressing selected surface and deeper skin concerns.
Who it may suit
A treatment for your concern.
Not everyone’s concern.
Adults with rough texture, visible pores, sun damage, fine lines or selected acne scars who can allow time for healing. The intensity is individualized, not a one-setting “glow facial.”
Where it may be used
Commonly the face; neck, chest, hands or other sites only after appropriate assessment.

Understand the treatment
What happens
beneath the surface?
HALO combines a 1470 nm non-ablative wavelength with a 2940 nm ablative wavelength in microscopic treatment zones. The surrounding untreated skin supports recovery. Fractional columns are not the same as removing all surface skin.

What the drawing means
Microscopic resurfacing zones
Fractional laser treatment creates small treatment zones with surrounding untreated skin. HALO combines ablative and non-ablative wavelengths.

The practical details
What to expect.
- Downtime
- Often several days of swelling, bronzing and flaking; redness may last longer.
- Comfort
- Topical numbing; heat during treatment and afterward.
- Results show
- Early changes after healing; remodeling can continue for months.
- How long it lasts
- Depends on treatment depth, skin condition, sun exposure and maintenance.
- 01
Prepare: discuss cold sores, skin medications, pigment risk and your recovery calendar.
- 02
Heal: follow the prescribed cleansing, moisturizing and sun-avoidance instructions.
- 03
Review: reassess the healed skin before deciding whether another session is appropriate.
Honest expectations
What it cannot promise.
Pores do not disappear, and scars usually improve rather than vanish. HALO is not a replacement for volume restoration or surgery for substantial laxity.
Common questions
Before you book.
Will I need only one treatment?
Some patients choose a single session; others need a series. Severity, settings, downtime tolerance and response guide the plan.
Can I wear makeup immediately?
Not over unhealed skin. Follow the clinician’s specific clearance rather than a fixed social-media timeline.
